We knew we would end up "man and wife" the minute we moved in together, and yet I still feel Catholic guilt about that.

Yeah, I was pretty whipped from the get go, and Anna knew there was no replacing my Polish angel. So, we set plans for a wedding where the guests who'd be traveling from distant places could arrive and enjoy a few days of vacation while joining us for the occasion.

At the time, I had the idea weddings were a pretentious occasion that people didn't want to be invited to, but the truth was everyone made the occasion a very special time we'll always remember. I regret not inviting more people (than my immediate family), but Anna's family and friends more than made up for it.

Overall, we really enjoyed it. Just more proof that people make the occasion, not the decorations or the $80 table centerpieces.

And everyone gained a healthy fear and respect for Papa Janusz's honey liquor. If you can taste it, you're already in trouble.
