For the July 4th weekend, 2004, Anna and I started talking about vacation ideas and Niagara falls was one that kept coming up. So, we took a 5 hour drive up to a bed & breakfast for the Independence Day weekend.
It was more crowded then Mecca during a crowded pilgrimage, but the bed and breakfast (Bluecrest B&B) was awesome. Best blueberry french toast I ever had - hands down. Overall, it was a really good time.
One word of advice: stay away from American food chains. We hopped into a taxi cab and asked for advice, and he said that a basic meal at one of the American food chains will run you $30 a head. We went to this place with a big bull's head in front of it. Good food, decent price. It was like $30 for both of us, and the food was great. So, just walk around and look for that. Good stuff, I swear.
